    Hi Guys.

I had my two sky boxes upgraded last year, one went to sky+, which was fed from the dish by two cables. The two old boxes were installed in the bedrooms with only 'free to air'. The reciever on the dish was upgraded to run all 4 boxes. Recently the two free boxes devoloped recption problems untill eventually I got nothing at all on them. Anyone know what I should look at?

Alooso I am thinking of replacing sky with a freesat box. What then is the relevence of the second cableto the sky + box. I see some freesat boxes have two inputs and others only one. Is it 'either,or' or how does that work.

    Thanks.

Second cable is there to feed a second tuner within the sky+ box. This allows you to pause and rewind live TV and also record one channel while watching another.

Sorry, don't know why you've lost your free channels

If your sky+ is still working okay, then try connecting your non-working boxes to one of it's input cables, and see if the boxes work.

If they don't they're probably faulty.

If they do, you need to look at the cabling from your dish to your bedrooms. Or else the LNB on the dish.

Services - 4 - 6 will give a signal strength indication on the sky boxes
