green diesel possibly in fuel filter?

    I just serviced the father in laws 2008 octavia 1.9tdi, when we opened the fuel filter the diesel inside it was green. is this normal or has he been sold green diesel as road diesel?

    Lad on here not so long ago said he got dipped and the Customs officer said it looked a bit "minty" There was no issue though.

    it's a bad mad, have changed alot of fuel filters and never seen that colour green in the canister before. it's usually a whitey ish colour.

    Don't think i've ever seen diesel that colour;)
