Sorry now if i am posting in the wrong place!
Last night we had our A.G.M for our local soccer club, and for my sins iv been elected the new treasurer! and like most small clubs there is very little money in the bank but we will have money coming in soon through usual annual events we hold,
anyway our gear situation is not great most of the shorts and socks are either missing or ragged, so i have to get gear for three kits and 20training balls and 4match balls.
Now after having a look on one of the big sports sites it came to 1200euros. I presume i would get money off for buying so much??
what i am just wondering is, do any of ye deal with buying gear, who would you recommend, companys, reps etc??

    Thanks??

    am based in clare area!

My brother and his friends set up a club about eight years ago.

They wrote to all the local TDs looking for money, and got cheques off some of them.

Also, get a local business to buy you gear, and stick their logo on the jerseys. Is there a pub most of the players drink in? Would any of the players be in a position to ask their workplace? Or as treasurer, you could do up a letter and send it to the various businesses in the area yourself. Make sure to use headed paper, you can make this pretty easily yourself.

I don't know why the final amount is coming to anything like 1200 quid though, you can get a full set of kit, including an embroidered crest and sponsors logo, plus two Polo Shirts with embroidered crest (for manager etc) for €680 from these guys. I use those kits for the Boards Team and they are decent quality.
