iPad home button issue

Just noticed recently that the home button requires more pressure than usual in order to get a response. Not a big deal but it is annoying. Tried everything bar a hard reset. Reluctant to do this as I think it's mechanical. Anyone ? iPad 1st gen by the way. Thanks

Haven't heard of it with the iPad but it happens with the iPhone. I'd get that sent off before the warranty is gone, if it's an original iPad.

I've had the same problem with my iPhone a few weeks ago. Check out this video I made:

I sent it off to Apple for repair as it was only about 4-5 weeks old at the time and they sent it back to me unrepaired so I ended up taking it apart and fixing it myself!
