Has anyone used UV filters? Find them useful? I saw this article and was wondering whether it might be an interesting way forward...
It shows 50 UV filters stacked on one lens...

the only thing i find them useful for is protecting my lens from scratches but i recently have stopped using them and just being careful with my lens

I'd be very careful with my lenses anyway, but I still always have a UV filter on them. I think all my filters at the moment are Hama ones. The only thing I don't like about UV filters is that they, even great ones, can cause some ghosting and stuff when it comes to awkward or multiple lighting set ups (emergency vehicles on blues, nightclubs, live music bands, etc.).

I've never, ever had anything come directly towards my lens that could actually do any damage at all. However, it'll be the one time I go out without a filter that it'll happen though.
