Fitzpatrick's Shoes

I recently bought a pair of Fitzpatrick's shoes - plain black court shoes with a red sole (coudn't find the exact shoe but this one is similar) - and wore them for the first time today. I walked no more than 5 minutes in them (literally) and the red covering on the ball of the foot had started to peel off. I didn't drag my feet, and didn't walk on overly rough or uneven surfaces - just a footpath.

I've never bought a pair of their shoes before, and was just wondering if anyone has experience of Fitzpatrick shoes? Is this type of wear normal?

Peel off or scuff? My Louboutins scuffed on first wear also.

Bring them in, it should be obvious from the sole if they have only be worn lightly.

Yeah, I was going to bring them back alright, I just wondered if anybody else had any experience of their shoes and if it was normal... I read the care instructions which came with the shoes and I did everything 'by the book' regarding their first wear. I'm so disappointed - it was the first pair of 'good' and 'proper' expensive shoes I've ever bought and was looking forward to having them to wear at 'special occasions' for years. :(

    Hi Convert,

If you bring them into us we can have a look at them for you. Red soles are only painted on so they will not last forever in pristine condition.

    regards
    Andrew
