    Hello there!

Would appreciate some help on this.

I've had my iPhone for just about 2 years now (give or take a month), as a gift my from ex, and as much as I loved my phone the first few years, for the last few weeks its been doing my head in.

For the last few weeks, it has been turning itself off, whenever it is not in use. But this can happen randomly. I can put the phone down, come back an hour later and it's still on, but most common is that it turns itself off, I turn it back on and the battery is dead. Even if I charge it to full, unplug it, and then place it on the table, it will just go dead.

As a frequent example. I charge the phone on my PC or via socket, listen to an audiobook on the bus to town, turn off the audiobook, order a coffee, and my phone has turned off. When I try to turn it back on, the battery is dead.

I'm not positive if this is related, but, when I listen to music (of any type) the phone stutters, freezes and skips constantly, but play's fine with an audiobook (eg, Terry Pratchett). Also the battery can be extremely warm/hot for no reason.

I've attempted resetting the phone through iTunes, but I really really don't have the cash to spend on another new phone, and this has been nothing but a pain the last few weeks.

    Any advice?
