    Hey,

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me. I need to know what type of building materials were used for different age buildings

So which of these years are more likely to have been built with materials listed below:

    Years: 1900 1930 1950 1970 1980 1990 2000

    Materials
    225mm Solid Brick
    325mm Solid Brick
    300mm Cavity
    300mm Filled Cavity
    Solid Mass Concrete
    Concrete Hollow Blocks

additionally, if anyone has an idea of the average roof area for a detached, semi-detached and terraced house - a rough estimate is grand would also be of great help!

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

maybe check out the building regulations for those periods (at least for the more recent)
