This has been in the works for a while, but according to Deadline it now has a director.

The original was of course an adaptation of an American book by Harlan Coben, which Guillaume Canet (the French guy in The Beach) transplanted to France. Nevertheless, this is an utterly pointless remake. I watched the original again recently and it's a fantastic film. Anyone who hasn't seen it, I highly recommend it. Affleck won't improve on it. The Town was really good, but this is backward step for Affleck into hack territory. Why remake a brilliant film when there are are other Coben books they could be doing instead? Stupid Hollywood!

Was just wondering the other day why it had taken so long for Hollywood to remake this!

Well Let me in proved not all remakes have to be awful, merely redundant :pac:

Nevertheless, this is an utterly pointless remake.

The same could be said for the Departed which won a few Oscars and its an inferior film to the original Infernal Affairs.
Remaking Tell No One will bring the film to a wider audience .Alot of people are unaware of it .
Its a fantastic film ,the remake will be a guaranteed hit,no doubt of that, thrillers of its kind are almost extinct these days.
