I'm not a big bus fan but this is not good to see:

GARDAI STILL INVESTIGATING FIRE AT BUS MUSEUM IN GLANMIRE.

    16 June 2011
Fleet of vintage buses destroyed in the blaze.
Gardai are still trying to trace who was responsible for last Sunday night`s fire which destroyed a number of vintage buses in Glanmire .. The alarm was raised at the premises at Blossomgrove shortly after 11-15 p.m... Up to seven fire brigade appliances attended the incident at the height of the blaze and brigade personnel were at the scene until about 5-30 the following morning... A collection of Ulster Buses were destroyed in the fire and the Museum`s owner well know Cork man Doctor Michael Grimes has been telling Neil Prendeville on 96FM that those responsible must have had a vindictive streak ....

    Terribly sad to see

Im not a big bus fan either...but its a terrible sight to see so many vehicles destroyed.

I heard Dr. Grimes on Joe Duffy also...he pointed out how Bus Eireann currently have 12 (Irish made) Bombardier buses awaiting scrappage. Bus Eireann is apparently insisting the buses will be scrapped and have refused to save any of them?!
Typical short-sightedness by a state company!

Ulster Bus have donated many buses to the museum and have been very helpful and sympathetic to the museum, according to Dr. Grimes.

Was in the Area yesterday and went looking for the Site, asked about 10 people they had heard about the place but did not know where it was ?
you would think a place with 400 Bus's would be easy to find , Heard the programme on RTE and a shame that someone would do something like that

I heard the Doctor say that there is no admission charge to the Museum and if you have a bus licence you can drive some of the buses.
I wonder where they are,i'd love to drive an old Bus???
