Looking at buying a 1 year old car a good distance from where I live and work. It has 2 years remaining on the warranty .I was wondering if anyone out there knows if there's a problem with the car, captured by the warranty, can I go to any of the nearby dealers (in this case Fiat) to have the repairs made etc? Thanks

It depends really, with some 3 year warranties the first 2 would be covered by the network and the third directly covered by the dealer.

Having looked at the Fiat website it states:
Fiat Warranty- 3 Year or 100.000 km
If your new Fiat should breakdown or suffer any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship, it is protected by a 3 Year Manufactures Warranty. A car is a complex piece of technology and you can't beat that feeling of total confidence you get during the first 3 years of manufacturer warranty cover
So based on the above you should be ok, unless this is only recently changed.

Thanks Delly, I had read that on the website already but was n't too sure how to interpret it. I suppose for most manufacturers warranties you'd have to have the car serviced within the dealer network but in Fiat's case I can n't see anything on their website?

Again it depends, some want it serviced in there network, while others want it serviced according to manufactures specs. I think only someone from Fiat can give you a straight answer.
