Do three now support Edge?

    Hi.

    Just a quick question, two days in a row now, my galaxy s has displayed the 'E' where 3G or H are normally displayed, not for long mind, twenty mins or so.
    Just wondering, as I'm with three Ireland, whom I didn't know supported Edge have now begun to offer it to us as an alternative data connection?

    Yes, but much faster than the useless GPRS they had previously.

    It's only for when you go out of 3G coverage, if you have good 3G already, you're OK.

    I was on a bus between Rathfarnham and Tallaght and the phone switched to E. Will it make any difference to Three's notorious failure to switch back to 3G?
