Is it possible to get Digital Saorview radio channels on a DAB radio?

    yes and no.

    1) DAB is poor quality.
    2) DAB coverage in Ireland is very poor. Woodcock hill in Limerick and South East.
    3) DAB mobile/indoor coverage is much poorer than FM radio.

    Also RTE may switch to Dab+ make sure the radio does Dab+ or regard it as disposable. Make sure you are well inside a DAB covered area and you have a strong signal.

    I am in Donegal so it would be mostly around the border towns, Lifford/Strabane/Derry.

    Would be nice to be able to get RTE Gold as its a great station.

    No Irish DAB reception at all in Donegal.

    Get a Saorview set-box (or Irish TV compatible) or USB stick for PC and a €8 FM "iTrip" from Hietons or such with external 5V plug top supply,

    Then you can have RTE gold on your FM radio but only 10m to 30m range.

    Get youself a Picnic box, should be cheap and will get all the DAB stations off the Saorview signal and it has audio connections on the back to feed a hifi.
