I have a 6.5G .mkv file that I would like to view on a PS3, with the PS3 using FAT32 I'm unable to do this so I need to split it and have 2 sub 4G files...

I want to keep the quality of the file so do not want to compress it in any way, is there a way to split the file in to 2 parts and keep the quality?

    VirtualDub.

You can load it up in to that and split it. (I'm pretty sure!).

Use MKVMergeGUI. Download the MKVToolnix package to get it: link

Drag your source file into the input window, then go to Global Options > Enable Splitting > After This Size

Put whatever size you want, set your output destination and then click 'Start Muxing'.

That just breaks the file into sizes you can set yourself, a tip is to set it lower as they can still run a fun Mb over what you set.

No, if you want to be able to play back the video properly you need to use a dedicated video splitter.

HJSplit is just a general file splitter.

Run PS3 Media Server and stream it from your PC?
