Hi Ive a hen party next wkend and the wedding is the following one, i usually only chance the stick on nails because im not great at takin care of things and cant seem to grow my own nails any lenght.

Ive booked in to get teh Shellac nails in a beauticians in Kimmage next week but am wondering first are they any good, and second, would i be better to wait until the week of the wedding just in case anything does go wrong?

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with them?

I dont really fancy getting the gel nails because ive heard they can ruin your own nails and i probably wont maintain them either!
    Cheers

I've gotten them done a few times now & they are good. The last time however, the application wasn't great & some nails weren't very even!

Be careful though as your nails can splinter or break - and I found I was sick of the colour by week 2! Don't pay any more than 30 quid either, as you're being ripped off. The French Nail Polish in the shellac is great, if its put on properly!

I would get them done as close to the wedding as possible as in my experience shellac can start to lift at the corners after a week or so.

I second this, and also depends where u get them done, as some people put it on way too thick and it lifts straight away. I get it done Nu essense after getting it done in loads of other places and I find them the absolute best

I have heard about this happening. Would it be too long of a wait about 8-9 days before the wedding in you op?

Yeah I think 8 or 9 days would be pushing it tbh if you want a flawless manicure on the day. No matter how careful I am i my nails I always find one or two damaged after a week or so and it just ruins the whole look. I would say 5 or 6 days max beforehand if you can, day before would be ideal though if you have the time!
