Contract Renewal Question

Just want an opinion from other IT contractors. I am on a rolling 6 month contract working on a particular project. I've been renewed already once and my current contract is due to expire in late July. I know the project manager wants to renew my contract, but I'm not keen at all as the role has turned in to a bit of a nightmare due to internal company politics. (Basically, I'm not being given the access to do the job I was hired for)

Do you think it's acceptable to say that I don't want to renew and walk away or would that just be "blotting my copybook" in a relatively small IT jobs market?

No, I'd say your fine to tell them you don't want to renew. Just give them a months notice - so tell them you don't intend to renew late June.
Just be "dipolmatic" with what you say if asked why.
