    There is only one possible answer to this question people, don't even open the door to them, open a window and shout - "NO **** OFF before I call the guards". Write down the reg, and keep an eye out for it around your estate.

    They are a winner any other way - they get a free look into your house to suss it out and size you up, or they get a cheap "clean" car that has not been connected to them and won't be until the change of ownership has gone through (if they don't con an unsuspecting person into giving them the change of ownership form with the car!).

    One of these lads came to look at a neighbours yoke he was flogging on donedeal, but it was sold already. He had a good snoop around the estate before settling on my banger as another likely candidate. I was told by a neighbour "in the know" that he has "history", before anyone suggests I jumped to a conclusion based on appearance/accent.
