SW Oral Hearing

    Hi

I applied for Invalidity Pension last year and was declined. On advice I appealed the decision and after a long process I have now been called for an Oral Hearing.

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should expect. Is there anything I need to bring with me and what is the likely run of thing during the hearing.

Any advice or input will be accepted gratefully

    Thanks

Im presuming you were refused on medical grounds. bring an updated letter from your GP and/or specialist describing your current condition, list of medication and confirming that you will not in his/her opinion be fit for work for at least 12 months. You would need to have "more evidence" than you presented in your original claim, to give yourself the best shot at being successful in your Appeal.Letters from physiotherapist OT, dietician, social worker, addiction counselors, any kind of counselors, the parish priest, Mother Superior, Michael Lowry TD (joke, clue to my location) Dont try to put on an act (im not suggesting that you would but theres a temptation when your anxious about the outcome...) they will see right through this. Just be yourself.
