Ok, so the other halfs birthday is coming up, we are together a long time and usually spoil each other when it comes to birthdays. But at this stage im only short of buying him a car or something! I want to get him something really special for his birthday but i really do not have a clue where to start! Im looking to spend about 800-1000. should i go for a holiday or is there something that would be better to get. Hes a typical lad who is into football, xbox, ps3, cars.....etc. I was thinking tickets to old Trafford or something but i have no clue where to begin looking! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :):)

I was going to suggest a soccer match aswell, the only problem is that the next match being played at old Trafford is on the 5th of august and it is Paul Scholes testimonial( tickets for this would be around £40 each), if your boyfriend is a big fan he would love that, there is also an open training session on the day after which tickets are only 7£ so you could make a weekend of it. Or on the 7th of august Manchester United are playing Manchester City in Wembley for the community shield in London but i reckon you would find it hard to get tickets for this match .

A friend of mine got a hotel room for her boyfriend's 21st, but kept it secret. Over the course of an evening, she unveiled 21 presents, some of which included dinner in a fancy restaurant, an envelope containing room keys for the hotel, and she blindfolded him and led him into the bathroom so he wouldnt see the hotel room until she had everything set up. She had left a homemade jigsaw for him to do while he waited. She got the champagne and candles ready, then lead him out and there were the remaining presents all over the bed with numbered tags on them. He opened them all in order, but the present labelled 'number 1'... was her :p

Another friends boyfriend led her on a treasure hunt across the city centre...she had to go from place to place collecting clues as she went. He put clues in the paper, and left a gift with each clue for her at each stop off point (got restaurant/bar/shop staff in on it in various establishments). It eventually lead to a spa weekend with him in a fancy hotel...

Takes alot of planning and organisation, but worth it :D
