Shopping in Canada

I'm heading to Canada next week for a conference (and I'll definitely spend all my time there listening to super-interesting lectures!) but I have 3-4 days to myself when I can go sight-seeing/shopping. So, 2-3 days shopping, 1 day sight-seeing

Any advice/recommendations on shops to visit, brands to seek out, cult products to get my hands on? I already have an afternoon devoted to Sephora, I've never checked that out before! Perhaps American Eagle as well....

Any hints are welcomed, otherwise I'll most likely spend my time wandering around in a daze :) I'll re-read the latest purchases and reviews threads for ideas too :)

Edit: should mention, it's Quebic city I'm heading to and I'm told there are 3 huge shopping malls with all major shops; hence I'm trying to streamline my shopping!

@jokettle: Jealous!! I like Costa Blanca for nice basic jersey tops and leggings, and the odd nice top or dress. I have shorts and a cardigan I got there 4 years ago that are still perfect. Forever 21, Aldo, Spring (I think? Shoe shop), Le Chateau, and if you want real cheap and cheerful but lovely tshirts, hoodies, etc Urban Planet is the place to go! That's all I can think of for now...

Edit: Just saw it's Quebec, shops might be different there, dunno how much help my list would be.

I've moved your post to its own thread. You'll probably get more answers this way.

    Thanks Bobblehead Panda!

Acoshla, as far as I can tell most of the shops should be the same as in the US. I'm hoping to find an American Eagle as I got a lovely jumper there a few years back :)

Sorry I meant different from ones in English speaking Canada, I had a look at the shop listing of the main malls there and a lot were French names with a few of the ones I know mixed in.

You should look at the shoe stores, they'll have a lot of branded shoes that would be probably about a third cheaper there than they are here!

This is very practical (boring) of me but I lived there (Quebec) for awhile and come back with some winter stuff that kept me warm and cosy during our new Irish harsh winters....It's worth investing in a coat 'coz they are made for the extremities of winter and are stylish !
Quebec and Montreal folk tend to me more stylish than the English speaking parts of Canada and have tons of designer shops that are cheaper than over here so if you're looking for something special I'd say hit those stores (Holt Renfrew is the Westons Canadian BT alternative!).
Regarding high street they are behind us a little bit but American Eagle is great for basics!
Have a great tip and bon chance !!
