    Hi,
I have a couple of questions on this course.

    1. Can anyone clarify what the fees are for this course. From what I can see it's €9,177 but as it's a skills conversion course, the student pays €2,750 and the HEA pay the balance. As a mature student does this apply?

    2. How many days each week do you have to attend and how many hours?
I need to juggle this around my own business

    3. Any other tips welcome!

Thanks for any replies. I've an interview next week!

Ah, I would be wondering the same thing regarding the HDip in IT. Same deal, skills conversion etc. But I'm not in receipt of a grant or BTEA...

    Just got clarification on this.

It's €2,750 for everyone! The balanced is paid by the HEA

Still curious on the number of hours involved?

This says Full or Part time...

If you're going full time, this makes it sound like a lot of time per week (well, in my opinion anyway)... http://music.nuim.ie/courses/postgraduate/taughtcoursesma/macomputermusic/hdipmusictechnology

When the forum gets flooded with people next week, what with results etc., someone who's done those modules will be able to tell you better. I'd say give the thread a bump if no-one answers by Wednesday.

Worth emailing the guy at the end of that second link maybe.

I did this last year. I took every module that I could but still wasn't that many hours. Its really two courses, you can do lots of programming or just the recording and a little bit of programming.

The first route has the most hours and the second has very few. Like maybe 2-3 days a week for a few hours. Things might have changed however.

So you could definitely do it and work with some maneuvering.

Definitely room for manoeuvring, but it might mean picking modules you don't necessarily want etc.

Averages about 2 days a week. Aurongroove who posts here is currently doing the course, I'll see if I can bait him in here.....
