Running up Stairs

What can you do when you dont live near any hills?

Is running up the stairs of a 32 story building an option as 'hill' training?

Obviously the stride is different, turnover would be the same, the quads will get a roasting, and should help overall leg strength, but will that be good for running form, or just running in general?

    any ideas?
    thanks

Yes you can. When the great coach Arthur Lydiard visited Florida, a high school coach (or was it a college coach?) asked him how they could possibly follow his programs as there are no hills in Florida. Lydiard pointed to the nearest high rise building and simply said "there's your hill!"

I know of flatlanders who use the ramps of underground carparks as hill repeats too.

These car parks must go fairly far underground so.
