How would I go about recording something from rte I player?

A close family member of mine will be on tv tonight. I have a few relations living abroad who want to see it and I want to save it for the future too. What is the easiest way I can record it and share it? (planning on sharing it in a private group on facebook only)

Your best bet is to record it off the TV using a DVD-R, PVR, or (don't laugh) VHS. You are on dodgey ground legally if you plan on sharing it about though, and there is no supported way to do so from most PVRs.

RTÉ Player is a streaming service only. There is no supported way to record/save programmes from it.
