Looked like an awful lot of ramp equipment parked close to an active taxiway there. Not sure if it happens much at DUB,i've certainly never seen much looking out the windows but any ramp guys on here may have seen a few incidents.

Only obvious incident i can remember was the grass cutting crew saying they were clear of the runway when there was still one left behind and ATC cleared a couple of aircraft to land on 10. The guy was driving one of the mowers that you sit on iirc. I think he only heard it quite late and was unaware there were aircraft cleared to use the runway.

For some reason i found that very funny

IIRC that was the Thomson 757, yes? C-GTBB. I think I was on that plane a day or two before that incident.

Does this happen much in Ireland? Goes to show how powerful an aircrafts wing is!

To answer you question, not exactly.

There are plenty of incidents like steps clipping wings, loaders piercing fuselage, baggage belts hitting engines, sheer pins on pushback bars sheering and the bar going through the aircraft skin etc etc.

I have never seen an aircraft hit something in DUB, it's always something hitting the plane!

Was not the pilots fault.Communication between the people on the ground was the issue.Pilot gets cleared to land,he will keep a look out for any runway incursion by aircraft or anything else he can see but for him to be on the look out for seat mounted lawnmowers is unrealistic.

your wrong boss........... The 737 800 cockpit view from the capts seat has full view of the wing tip, which crashed into the truck and upended it. Also the steering is from the capts side. I think the report( if anyone has it) blamed the skipper. It was day light and in all these situations, if in doubt stop irrespective of the linesman guiding you in.....all they'll say to you is sorry skip and move onto the next job whilst your wing is embedded in a catering truck (not a seat mounted landmower) as in this video.

Didn't a Ryanair 738 wingtip hit off the terminal building in Kerry or Knock? Can't remember exactly where it was

Ok but where did this happen on the airfield? they say runway 10 so that leads me to believe the a/c was landing not taxiing out/in.
