Recreation & Sport Management

I'm doing the similar Sports Management & Coaching in ITB (3rd year repeat depending) but it's far more leaned towards personal training than I would prefer (apart from other reasons why I would like to switch college's). Is anyone doing this course and/or would know if it's possible for me to transfer into it and go into 2nd or 3rd year?

The options for 3rd year are far more varied and preferable for what I would want to do.

Also since I live in Dublin would I be eligible for a maintainence grant since I'd be living away from home?

    Cheers in advance

I'm doing this course, just finished first year but so don't really know what the story is regarding transferring from another college, serious numbers have dropped out in my year at least since the beginning of the year so it's not as if they will be full or unable to accept you I'd imagine. So far I also get the feeling it's slightly leaning towards personal training too but we do a lot of other sports too and as you said in 3rd year there are a lot more options. I'm from Kildare and will be eligible for the maintenance grant so you will be too.

Cheers for the reply man, sorry about the taking ages bit myself.

I actually e-mailed a lecturer from the course, can't remember his name it was on the site, and he didn't actually know what ITB was, which was a little disconcerting to say the least. I've a couple repeats to get through so I doubt I'd be able to do anything for semester 1 anyway which is a bit disappointing but sure.

Turns out a lad from the year ahead of me is going to WIT next for the same course, so it can be done I guess.
