Can anyone recommend an insurance company who is quoting at reasonable levels at the minute?

    FBD - NO
    AXA - Yes $$$$$$
Broker - Yes but more than I want to pay but still cheapest and the policy is with PRESTIGE

Tried a few brokers, local AXA branch, local FBD branch and corn market

Main reason is I have two claims, one was an accident which was my fault, the other was my car was stolen

I found Aviva very cheap this year for some reason. Usually they were amongst the highest.

    Cheers for that.

So far quotes are coming back around 1200-2500

The broker is just above 1k. Shocking for a 26 year old male with 4 years NCB (Thank god for step back)

When I renewed I was a year older and one extra years NCB on the vrs for €750. Good policy too with nice extras. Just to give you a ball park figure.

There's no such thing as expensive or cheap ins cos, it's all about who they're quoting for.

This is actually alll rather confusing.

I had an accident over 2 years ago but my cert says I have 4 years NCD:confused:

It was explained as follows: I was with axa and they have a step back programme so that gave me 12 months NCD after accident, the brokers added 12 months ncd to make two, I had 1 years ncd last year and all that adds to 4......

Axa still say I only have 3 years ncd but the cert says 4???

I don't want to take out insurance only for it all to go tits up later on due to confusion over how much I actually have....

I have explained it to all the people I have asked for quotes so I'm not hiding the claims or anything

    Anyone experienced this before?

I know, I know, every case is different.

Its more the NCD confusion and 2 claims within 3/5 years that are the issues

123.ie, €300 for me, half what most other crowds wanted, 3rd party f&t as the ZT is worth close to sfa.

    12months + 12months + 1 year = 3years ncb not 4.

I haven't a clue where the 4 came from but tis on the cert and THE AA were happy with that.
