New jobs, paid in arrears, still claim JSA?

Hi, I've recently gotten a new job, which is paid in arrears, thus I'll be left with nothing for the best part of the month should I sign off. My question is,
is it illegal to continue claiming until just before your first wage goes into the bank? I know of a friend of a friend who has done something similar and was recommended such by some authoritative body, but that was two years ago, so perhaps not relevant anymore.

of course it's illegal and you will be caught out..best thing to do is go to your CWO and explain the situation and they may help you out and you pay them back when you get paid.

That would be fraud. You sign off from the date you start work. Thread locked.
