Hi Just wondering what is the situation if you don't get the required grades for your plc course, I need 4 passes and 1 c3 on an honours paper which I should get but I am beginning to panic in case I don't get it.

If the college has specified that that is exactly what you need, then I'm afraid it is their call and you would lose your place. Different colleges have different requirements - some don't need LC at all, others ask for a specific number of passes. It may be that in order to do the particular course you have chosen you need to show aptitude in, say, biology or English.

If you don't get it you could contact the college and ask if you could be put on the waiting list, in case numbers are short. There is no guarantee that they will, as I say, it is their call, but it might be worth a try.

Don't panic as the entry requirements are set down by the college and are not nationally agreed. Check with the college when you get your results and ask for their Admissions policy and appeals procedures
