Extension to existing house

I’m planning a 10 feet single storey extension to an existing house.
The roof will tie into existing house.

There are around 12 courses of dead work to existing foundation; we have dug down to existing foundation as soil was not great.
I’m planning to put in a raft of 9inch thick with 12mm bar and A393 sheet of mesh spaced over this.

I was not planning to tie in with existing strip, just pour up against it.
Should I dig down 800mm and shutter a strip foundation or continue doing what I’m at.

You should hire an engineer and not look for any other structural guidance on the internet
