Started this morning, a day later than expected. No iPod rebate, I'm afraid. Just a €75 gift card to use on the iTunes/App Store.
    Here's the deal:
When you buy a new qualifying Mac with Apple education pricing* from June 16 to September 20, 2011, you'll get a €75 Gift Card to use on the Mac App Store, the App Store and the iTunes Store.

The qualifying Macs are the MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac. More info here.

Very disappointing. In previous years you got a rebate on a new iPod up to the value of €185 which you could sell if you didn't want it.

In previous years they had to offer such a heavy prize for purchacing a mac, but you have to admit, 2011 is looking to be the year of the mac....everyone and their mother wants one, so they don't have to offer such extras when buying one.

Still 75 in the app store is nothing to be sniffed @!

How much does Coda cost in the European Mac App Store? It's about the only use I'd have for that offer assuming it's cheaper than €75. It's $99.99 in the states so it should be less than €75...

Sick. Now I'm with the "where's my iPod Touch" crowd :p

Apple are really doing things different this year. Between holding back the iPhone launch until September, giving their Retail Stores a bit of an "overhaul" with the iPad displays, and now not doing their usual iPod clearout with their Back To School promotion. It'd make you wonder what exactly Apple have planned for September.

I think the reason there is no iPod on offer this year is due to the fact the iPods in previous years were reaching end of life and due a refresh. With iPhone 5 having a later release date this year it will more than likely push the new iPod refresh out.

Correct me if I'm wrong as this was the scenario a couple of years ago when I availed of the iPod rebate.
