Apparently the only reason they put that there was to see that heed was paid to the rider. If they walked into the dressing room and there was a bowl of mixed M&Ms (or none at all) that there was probably others things amiss with the dressing room/food.

yup it was hidden in the middle of some technichal stuff iirc,

due to the fact the stage sets where so complex and dangerous if not done correctly
