I really want to build up my makeup brush collection. I usually go for Mac brushes and am getting BT vouchers for my birthday to buy some more, but I heard that Sephora brushes are cheaper and just as good, and my sister is going to the States in a few weeks so was going to get her to get me some of them instead.

    Can anyone recommend them?

I got this set about 3 years ago in NY and it's still going strong! I've been constantly using the eyeshadow brushes and they are still as soft as the day I got them (I use shampoo to clean them every so often). I found that particular set to have very soft bristles which is great for blending but not for packing on colour. I used the foundation brush for ages too, did the job nicely :)

I haven't used Sephora brushes but I'd highly recommend Sigma the closest quality yo will get to Mac.

I completely agree :) Sigma have many dupe MAC brushes you can buy them in singles and sets.

You can buy them from the website and they ship internationally :D

I have this set also - got it in Oct 2009 and the brushes are excellent. Would highly recommend them. They are very soft, and I also have a couple of other Sephora brushes that I have bought individually.
    I have this blush brush:

    and this lip brush:

The other brushes I have are from Bare Escentuals which I find pretty good as well.

I bought a Sephora eye shadow brush when I was in NY and I lost it lately and I'm so sad. It was actually such a good brush. As already mentioned, really soft. I had this one :

It has 2 ends, I loved that about it. Based on it, I would definitely invest in more.

I was in Sephora in the states before and they were out of the Benefit foundation brush I use so they gave me a Sephora one. Its great and was half the price. I still have it. Usually I throw away make up brushes and buy new ones but I've kept this one really clean cause I love it so much.

If I was in a Sephora again I'd stock up on brushes.

I haven't used Sephora brushes, but if you're looking for something cheaper than Mac but still good I recommend the body shop brushes. I have an eyeshadow one which has being going for about 7 or 8 years now and is still in good nick and recently bought a foundation one. I think it was about €20. Am finding it good so far anyway.
