Seems the coin baskets are now charging me €2 this week whereas they were charging me €1.30 last week (for a carvan in this case)

Has something changed over the last few days does anyone know? did they get access to the same database the M50 uses or something?

Are you paying commercial tax? Seems right they would charge you the same rate as other commercial vehicles in that case, and yes I would imagine they are using ANPR with some central DB.

Commercial/Private tax doesnt make a difference with Toll Roads. Once your vehicle is clased as commercial - which all carvans are you are required to pay a van charge. Think I read this on the M3 website somewhere a while back.

However up until this week the coin baskets were charging every vehicle for a car - now they appear to have been fixed/updated.

I am not disputing the charge - just wondering about the change all of a sudden.

(Well I am disputing the charge but thats another story :) €200 per month is far too much to pay to use a road that is what - just 40 miles long? Must be the most expensive/most tolled road in the country. Anyway Ive gone back to the old N3 this week and there is no difference in time either way so I will save my €200 thanks :) )
