Anybody going to any Gaeltacht over the summer? I'm going to Coláiste na Rinne on the 28th!

I was going to try and get a scholarship but I never head of when Conradh na Gaeilge were running them until the day after they did them :pac:

Damn you're paying to go to a Gaeltacht? Are your parents Jewish or something?

I'd pay not to have to go to one. Speaking in that hideous thing called Irish?- me no likey.

Plus, everyone goes there just to go on a huge binge without the watchful eye of their parents.

Well, I love the Irish language. Not the subject, the actual language.

So, the language combined with the craic would be class :P

I went to the Gaeltacht last year. I didn't really enjoy it tbh, but I was partially to blame because I had no grasp of the language at the time. I've improved a lot since then though, and I would probably enjoy it more now that I have a decent grasp of the language, but I have other plans for summer.

To anyone going: It will be what you make of it. A positive attitude will go a long way.

One, casual racism is not on.

Two, Irish is a lovely language.

Three, some people actually go to the gaeltacht to learn Irish....
