    Hi All

I live in Dublin 7 and am looking to start training in kickboxing or Muay Thai. I dont really have any ambition to actually fight and am just looking for something interesting to keep fit and learn something new. I'm 36 and reasonably fit and have no background in MA at all.

I see there are two clubs in D7 and was wondering if people had any advice on what would suit my needs best?

I see have seen some warnings re posting about the kickboxing club, not sure what thats all about....

    any advice is greatly welcome

    thanks in advance

    D

If you are in the Navan road\Cabra area Kyozo gym is in the industrial estate next to woodies.

Not a purist KB\MT place but they do MT classes.

IS there still thai in Barrys place? I thought it stopped when paddy hit the states?

There was only a lad on last week from cabra asking me and it pained me to sent him to Bstone gym :)

Who teaching thai in Kyozo out of interest, and best of luck with it

    Hey Paddy,

Anesh Bugwandeen does one night per week now for the fighters on a Tuesday and I coach stand up for MMA on a Thursday. We're not a Muay Thai gym, we just have some additional stand up training for beginners and fighters on a Tuesday and Thursday night though you never know, might put some amateurs in from time to time.

Thought about replacing Paddy for a while (about 5 minutes) but then decided against it. Hard to replace a partner.

What about Wild Geese on Pearse Street? Recommended?

The trainer at Wild Geese does know his stuff alright but if your in Dublin 7 already then you can't go wrong with Bridgestone Muay Thai. Full time dedicated Thai club, with professional international fighters thats open 6 days a week.

    You'd almost think I was bias :)

Not sure which KB club there are warnings about (I haven't seen any) but there is a club in D7 martialartsinc check out their website, they are very good and have training practically everyday with extra workshops available. They do KB and MMA
