    Hi all,

There was a tailback on the m50 going northbound this evening from before the Tallaght junction. The blockage seems to have been because of a stopped truck in lane 3 and a stopped car in lane 2. Anyone know what happened here? I could not see any visible damage on either vehicle.

(The location is just before the n4 interchange)

    Thanks

No idea - but that truck shouldn't be in the 3rd lane! ;)

I thought this thread was about the numpty going northbound this morning at 8.30 driving a jeep with a trailer that was struggling to even drive at 40 k per hour. We really need a minimum speed limit on those roads.

Still faster than the old guy driving the Model T on the N7 at around 3.15 this evening at the Poiteen stil

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

I was lucky so! I passed there just before 5PM and there wasn't any tailback yet. In fact, I've never had a better throughflow on the M50 northbound before on a weekday that time. Never went below 100km/h all the way from Bray to the N4 (in not much over 20 minutes)

One night a week or so ago, a mattress was set on fire on the pedestrian 'A-Bridge'. I saw it there the next morning, but I haven't seen it since.

I wonder did some gob****es throw it onto the M50 this evening if it was still around somewhere?

Had to laugh though he looked very comfortable on his couch, slouched back with his trousers pulled up around his man boobs and his comb over blowing in the wind

I passed this about 17.45. The truck driver and the car driver were having a chat, but I couldn't give a cr@p what happened, just wanted to get home, so didn't look to see if there had been contact. Very strange positions for the 2 vehicles to be in if they had come together.

Car driver could have pushed the car in front of the truck to open another lane, if he had a bit of consideration for the thousands of other road users.

Similiar to this two weeks ago on at the Templeogue/Tallaght junction two female drivers were exchanging insurance details. It seems they had a minor collision with one car driving into the back of the other one. They were parked at an angle across two lanes having a chat while the whole off ramp from the motorway to the roundabout were totally blocked.

I cant understand why these people cant just take a quick few pictures with their phones before pulling into the side of the road to exchange details!
