    Exactly. Even if there was some sort of safeguard to stop it pointing upwards, I reckon it could still easily end up in the line of sight of someone driving something like a Lotus Elise.

    Very easily, or on hills ending up in mirrors.
    To much to go wrong with that I reckon.

    Traditional stupidly colourful cycling gear will work, I reckon.
