Tina Brophy from Pet Helpers in wexford has had an outbreak of Pavo, this was due to two poor little puppies that where taken from a breeder and had never been wormed, they had rickets and where really skinny, they where never weaned, poor little mites didn’t have much of a fighting chance. Tina has had sleepless nights with the puppies on drips trying to keep them alive, sadly both died and she is so upset, its heartbreaking that in this day and age things like this happen, another case of Breeders getting away with murder!. Tina has had to burn everything for fear of the other dogs getting it, beds, medical supplies, etc. If you live in the Wexford area or anywhere else and would like to help, please contact Tina from Pet Helpers 087 2589 061. Supplies, beds, medical supplies, bleach, cleaning products etc

She doesn't actually have to burn the bedding, she just needs to use a disinfectant that kills parvo and soak the beds in it before washing them. Same goes for bowls, housing area, etc- her local vet could probably supply her with that as that's what they would do after having a parvo case in hospital.
Unfortunately for her, parvo is a tough one to treat, especially in pups that are already run down. It's a shame vaccination isn't mandatory :(
