The 151 used to go to Admastown but after a quick look it only goes to Foxborough.

    All Direct Routes to Adamstown
    Route Description
25b From Merrion Sq. Towards Adamstown Rail Station
    25x Lucan Towards UCD Belfield
151 From Docklands (East Rd.) Towards Foxborough (Balgaddy Rd.)
239 From Blanchardstown Centre Towards Liffey Valley Shopping Centre

Take a 76/76a or 76b from outside The Square to Chapelizod and change to the 25b which will bring you to Adamstown.

Or, you can also take any bus from Tallaght to the City Centre and board the 25b at Aston Quay.

I'm not aware of a Superquinn in Adamstown?

There is a Superquinn in Lucan on the Newcastle Road opposite Esker Church.

That is served by the 25a.

Fastest route would be the 76/a/b to the bottom of the Kylemore Road and then cross over and take the 25a from there. It operates every 30 minutes.

Some of the ads for Adamstown make out as if Superquinn Lucan is handy to all of the town. Okay, it's close to the western end of Adamstown but it's certainly not short walking distance like they make out.

thank you so much guys, that was a lifesaver. i'll definetly take the 76/a/b route then the 25a/b

Do both 25a and 25b go the same routes?

Sorry about that, I meant the Superquinn in Lucan. Although it's mostly referred to as the "Adamstown Superquinn" by locals.

The 25A no longer serves the bottom of Kylemore Road since the route was taken out of Chapelizod. Neither does the 76A from Tallaght.

I think the OP's best option is to stay on board the 76 or 76B to the last stop outside the West County Hotel in Chapelizod, walk westwards up the slip road towards Palmerstown, cross to the other side of the Lucan Dual Carriageway and get the 25A from there.

If on a 76A, just stay on board until it reaches any of the three stops on the Dual Carriageway and get the 25A from one of those.

    D'oh - Sorry about that! Wasn't thinking!!

    Options:
    1) 76/b to West County Hotel and walk up to Palmerstown and catch 25a from there
    2) 76/b to Kylemore Road and 66/a/b or 67 to Palmerstown and 25a from there
    3) 76a (Heading to Blanchardstown) to Palmerstown and then 25a from there

OP - The 25b will leave you a long walk away - only the 25a serves Superquinn.

    Timetables:
    25a
    76
    76a
    76b

Note that you need to check all three timetables (76/a/b) to see the full service to Blanchardstown.

    Try this website: hittheroad.ie

enter your start point and destination, and it brings back alternative routes including bus, luas, and dart.
also has estimated journey times and walking distances.

saves a lot of headaches for me when trying to get to a new place. ;)

I went to school in Lucan and it was never, EVER called that. Its not even near Adamstown!
