    Have heard so much about this but never used it. I am really tempted to buy a nars blusher or one of the multiples but not sure if its worth the hype and the price. Also does the orgasm shade suit everyone or would I be better with another. I'm brunette with medium skin town, brown/green eyes. Thanks!

    Absolutely love it but it's quite expensive to buy new, I got mine in a blog sale for half price and it was barely used so you should have a look on them! It has a gorgeous pink shimmer but the colour itself is peach :D

    I have brown hair and fair skin and I like the way it looks, I've used it on several different skin tones and I haven't found anyone it doesn't suit :D

    brilliant thank you! I have been having a scout for it on one of the blogs I will try ebay too. Do you use the blush or the multiple? The colour looks lovely for summer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 533 ✭✭✭willow tree

    the multiples are brilliant especially on the go. if im in a hurry, foundation + multiple on eyelids as blush and as lippie + mascara... i have 3 of them. orgasm would suit your compleion id say. i also really like south beach,hth

    where can you get them? i thought nars was only available in us? and how much?:D

    This is the one I have

    sans-titre-1.gif

    At full price it can set you back 29 euro :eek:

    Lately I have been using a tinted moisturizer with this and I think it looks fab :) I find that in the hot weather foundation is too heavy :rolleyes:

    Shop for it here: https://www.narscosmetics.eu

    I absolutely love NARS Orgasm. I use the blusher way more than the Multiple personally. I adore the colour, think it's well worth the 29 euro. I bought mine in NYC so it was probably a bit cheaper but still!

    I have orgasm blush but I think I'm allergic to it so I don't use it. Pity cos it's a nice colour. I have the illuminating fluid which I often mix in with my foundation for a more glowly look. It's very nice but I don't think it would attract half as much attention if it wasn't called 'Orgasm'.

    Just wanted to recommend a couple of websites if buying Nars online since I was recently looking into this both because it's cheaper online and as I don't have a nars stockist near me.

    Firstly: http://www.kissandmakeupny.com/makeup4.html
    Definitely genuine products and flat rate shipping of $9.95/€7 so you'll save more if you get a few things. I got the sheer glow foundation (was €29.40 and is €40 in BT) and laguna bronzer (was €21 and is €35 in BT). The range stocked seems very good to me but I'm not that familiar with Nars products so can't be sure.

    Secondly: http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com/nars.html
    Also definitely all genuine products on this website. I have bought mostly MAC things from them but they have a good range of brands. Shipping depends on the order but is fairly reaonable. Stock changes a lot so you have to keep an eye out when looking for something in particular. They only very recently added Nars (literally in the past 2 weeks) and have been adding products to it since. They currently have some of the multiples in stock but not the powder blushes but I would expect them to be getting them in the near future. This website can be really good value.

    I think it's overrated tbh. It can show up quite reddish if you're not careful. I'm all for splurges and NARS seem like a good brand, bit I'd go for a pinker shade if I were you.

    thanks so much ladies!

    Nars is available at asos.com thats where I was looking for prices its £20.50 which is not too bad. Its the same price on www.hqhair.com and I am so tempted to buy it now as they have free world wide delivery :D You have all convinced me its a good idea.

    Just bought it from asos last week - finally ran out of mine, after using it every day for the last year (at least!). I bought Benefit's Coralista as I'd seen it recommended as nearly the same, but I didn't like it as much. I also have Nars Deep Throat blush which is more of a matt pink, really nice too. I use Orgasm waaayyy more though.

    have you used the laguna bronzer? was window shopping online and saw that too it looks nice

    I have the nars laguna bronzer and really like it. I also have benefit hoola and think the laguna bronzer is much nicer. I was choosing between the two initally and picked hoola but wish I'd chosen laguna. I only use bronzer to contour, not all over and I'm super pale.

    Hoola is completely matte which I thought was a good thing but it goes on quite muddy/unevenly. I used good quality brushes with it too. Really not worth it's pricetag. Laguna is slightly darker and not totally matte - it has a fine shimmer running through it but it is not glittery/sparkly at all. The shimmer is not noticeable if even visible on.. I think it just gives more depth on my cheekbones. It applies nice and evenly and blends nicely too.

    Also, further to my earlier comment allcosmeticswholesale.com have a few of the nars powder blushes in stock now. Don't have orgasm yet though. Most $21.99 (€15.51) + shipping (as said before, based on weight, works out better if you have a few things). http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com/19.html

    you are a wealth of info thanks a mil :D I bought nars organsm on hqhair last week should have bought it off asos as its taking an eternity to arrive (I know I am impatient but 14-21 days to Ireland is aaages!).

    I haven't the funds to pick up laguna bronzer yet but I managed to get the balms bahama mam which looks similar for just 7 pound on brandalley.com (love love that website). Laguna is definately next on my wish list!

    I em 'attempt' to contour with bronzer not sure how successful I am yet!

    What's the cheapest shipping option actually?

    The cheapest shipping to Ireland is "USPS First Class International (Not available to Brazil, Spain, Turkey)". Below is a list of shipping costs by number of items but it is very approximate since shipping is based on weight.

    1 = $4.75 / €3.35
    2 = $5.75 / €4.05
    3 = $7.75 / €5.46
    4 = $9.50 / €6.70
    5 = $11.50 / €8.11
    6 = $11.50 / €8.11
    7 = $16 / €11.28
    8 = $16 / €11.28
    9 = $22 / €15.52
    10 = $22 / € 15.52
    11 = $22 / € 15.52
    12 = $22 / €15.52

    No problem, I love talking about makeup! :) You will have to let me know how you find the orgasm blush. I haven't tried any of the nars blushes but hear they're good and since I really like the bronzer I figure the blushes will be good too. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near a nars stockist to see what the likes of orgasm/deep throat actually look like in person. I'm also kind of afraid of coral/peach blushes in case they look orange on my pale skin.

    On the contouring thing, I used to be afraid to nearly touch the brush of my face in case I was putting it in the total wrong place but it's actually quite easy once you try it a few times. I think the E3 way of doing it, if you've heard of that, makes if fairly foolproof once you angle the middle bit and dont go too low on it and also blend it a fair bit.

    Haven't heard of that website you mentioned so will check it out, thanks. Also, know what you mean about waiting on post.. I feel like once I order something I nearly expect it to appear the next day. Lol i wish!

    Yep i've ordered twice before from them and both packages arrived fine and well bubble wrapped. I've a third order on the way. There's tracking and insurance available on the more expensive shipping option but I wouldn't bother with that.

    I alternate between Nars Deep Throat and Nars Orgasm depending on my make up on the day/night. I definitely think it's one of the nicest blushers out there.

    There are tons of dupes for Orgasm if you dont want to shell out for the full thing.

    For the poster who liked Deep Throat I saw this the other day and thought it looked like a great dupe:

    I get Elf's 'glow' and its a decent dupe, especially for £1.50! My friend was an orgasm devotee and has recently converted to Models Own in warm glow I *think* and she thinks its fab!

    the balms hot mama is very like nars orgasm powder blush, its a peachy sparkly one and mac's dainty is a pinkier version of it. awear sell the balm stuff, its much cheaper than nars! i have the multiple in orgasm as well and while it looks fabulous initially it "slides" off my face after a while & leaves a sort of a sparkley sheen on each cheek, prob cause i have oily skin. i have ALL the above lol i'm a makeup junkie. bought nars orgasm lipgloss in new york in march & was a bit disappointed with it, it looks great in the tube but not as nice on, maybe its just my skin tone but i've had cheaper glosses that look much nicer on me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,185 ✭✭✭Dark Phoenix

    my orgasm still has not arrived in the post am getting hacked off now with impatience :(
    cocokay thats cool cos I have bahama mama ordered so hopefully that is similar to laguna! I had no idea awear sold it thanks for the heads up.

    pipsie pie whats the deal with the diet coke vouchers?
