Golf Digest Events, any experience?

    Was reading the latest Golf Digest and noticed the summer run of events they have planned. Next one being in The K Club on Sunday 3rd July, entry fee is €75.

    They seem to be pretty cool, especially for a keen duffer like me, who likes the notion of playing a fancy pants course with the sense of a proper competition behind it. And with it being Stableford, it should be somewhat manageable to put in a half decent score.

    So, has anyone entered these events, and how did you find them?

    Played in an outing that they have once a month where the winning score each month goes on to a final in September. As you say it's grand to play a good course at half the price and you can and will enjoy it weather permitting. I think it well worth it anyway.
