    Only just finished servicing one.

Looked in the manual and it said 5w30 for our climate. The oil filter is in a awkward enough spot. Luckily it wasn't too tight and the filter socket for the mercedes paper filter bowls tapped down on it.

To reset the service light, put the odo to trip a. Turn off ignition and hold in the trip button. Turn on ignition and keep the odo button pressed til all the dashes go out.

mightn't be any harm checking the oil pick-up gauze is clear if it's you own jeep.

Got 10 w 30 for my one from a toyota dealership. That's the one they uses so does the job. You can use either 10 w or 5 w 30.
Looking at the user's manual, 10 w 30 works in temperatures down to minus 18/20 degress and 5 w 30 goes even lower again.

Wasn't that a bit expensive from a dealer? As long as it meets the Api specs it doesn't matter, all comes from only a couple of places anyway. I got 10 litres of fully synthetic 5W30 for €50 from my local truck place last week.

No worked out cheaper as there was an offer on. Anyways was getting the filters (Air & oil) so may as well get the oil there as it was on offer.
Prefer to use genuine filters. Thats just me :D

That's fair enough, if I bought from a Land Rover dealer I'd be bankrupt!

Filter wise I always buy OEM or well known makes, local truck place only sells quality stuff thankfully.

Your safe out so with the like of OEM and that. Are the landrover parts like filter and that expensive from the dealer?? Thought they were cheaper than most or I must be mistaken.

Basic stuff can be cheap but I can get cheaper local or via the numerous internet suppliers. Most of the the dealers here are muppets anyway
