    Courtesy of HUKD:

They're charging €4.99 for a pack of 8 Duracell (4 with 4 Free), so 24 Energizer (12 with 12 free) for €2 more is great value!

In my local B&Q it's €5.85 for their own brand 3 X 16pack, so 48 batteries for €5.85, I know it's not a named brand etc. just another option for folks, picked some up last weekend for just under a fiver with their 15% off voucher...

I feel it's better value to use rechargeable batteries. Lidl are selling four for €3.99 at present. Another advantage of the rechargeable ones is that you wont have the problem of disposing of them so often.;)

I'm a big fan of rechargeables - but as they only put out 1.2V (the NiMH ones anyway) instead of a nominal 1.5V (alkalines) I find some items, my camera in particular, don't last very long before they start complaining of "low battery". I tend to carry rechargeables for just run of the mill or experimental camera shots, but always have a fresh set of name-brand alkalines to drop in for some serious activity like a wedding or an event where there's only one chance to get it right.

If I'm buying rechargeable batteries I usually shop at 7dayshop.com, something like these last me ages!

You have a colourful history on this site, and obviously you don't learn, so the ban is for the category, and permanent this time. The mods have a though enough job to do as it is without having to put up with the likes of you.
