Where can I find malt extract?

    Anyone know where I can get some malt extract, preferably around Kilkenny or Waterford? I am actually looking for it for bread making, but as far as I can see, it's the same stuff as you use in brewing.
    I've seen some websites that sell it, but I'd rather get it in a shop nearby if possible.

    There's only a handful of bricks-and-mortar homebrew suppliers in the country, and none around there that I know of. The Homebrew Company in Laois would probably be the nearest.

    If its for baking, most health food shops sell baking grade liquid malt extract

    Unfortunately, the ones I've looked in don't have it. Will have to keep searching.

    I have seen Malt Extract in Health Food stores (like Evergreen or Holland & Barrett).
