Just wondering, on a day to day basis or even if you were just out and about, would yous always have your SLR's with you?
    Thanks,
    Mark

I try to.. in the car anyhow. Used to alot more but getting a bit lazy now, need to keep it up. Some of my best pictures (in my opinion) have been unplanned, spur of the moment. Its a good habit to have.

99% of the time I have a DSLR on me. My transport alternates between foot and cycling. When cycling, it's in my bag on my back, when walking it's on a camera strap dangling by my waist.

It seems that everytime I walk out the door without a camera I see something interesting. Got fed up not having a camera on me, so make it a point to carry a body and lens with me at all times. I usually carry two lenses (sigma 70-200mm is almost always with me, and either a canon 17-85mm or Sigma 30mm as the secondary) and one body.

That said, I almost always have worn a backpack. Ever since my school days, i've always carried stuff in a bag like that, and I used to often go out with an empty one, incase I decided to buy something or collect something or whatever, so it's not really any hassle for me to carry a camera at all.

Personally, I'd recommend it, but then I don't really have any other hobbies or interests, so a quick spin down to the corner shop on the bike has often turned into a couple of hours out taking photos because I seen something or felt restless. Knowing you don't have to go home to get a camera helps keep you out taking shots, in my opinion.

Never unless it is work or a special occasion.

I went through my times of bringing everywhere but now that I am consistently working I need my off time, as much as I love it. I find that the more family pics I have the less I appreciate them also so I rather leave it for every once in a while!

No, not all the time - as i feel it just annoys me (and other people) if i'm not using it, and using it all the time annoys me (and other people) if i dont feel im using it for a purpose.

However, i do try and set myself little projects and suchlike in order to make sure i have time with it.

I'm in a strange limbo at the minute of studying photography, making a semi-living out of photography and still having a hobby in photography so for me i need to try and force some structure in what i'm doing.

No. I take the body and appropriate lenses out when I know I'm going to shoot something. I do, however, carry a camera most of the time. This is generally my little G9.

Nope. I usually only have a camera on me to shoot specific projects. If I want a snap, the phone camera does fine.

Rarely. During the week, never at all. Working and commuting takes up most of the day and by the time I get home I don't want to go anywhere else. Weekends are the only time I take it anywhere, and that's generally only ever to cover matches.
I don't really like wandering around with my DSLR. I'm not sure why, I've just never felt comfortable doing it. I've been looking at a high end compact or a 4/3 camera to have wandering around though, because I do get those "I wish I had my camera" moments too.

So it's a mixed bunch of Yes and No's..
Thanks for answering, I myself am terrified of having mine out incase it breaks or something goes wrong :/
I'd like to try bring it out more, but i find the 18-55mm to be irritating.
    Thanks lads/ladies :)
