Asbestos roofing tiles

What are the laws with regard to removing asbestos roofing tiles in Ireland?
I understand that they need to be double bag and disposed of by a licensed operator but what about the actual removal of the tiles from a roof into bagging suitable for collection/ disposal?
Are the restrictions different to those regarding internal removal of asbestos?

    Many thanks

write a letter to your local building control asking them. Id be interested to here what they say.

generally where I've dealt with such things on site, a H&S plan + method statement is prepared. basically outlining any possible issues for each stage: removal, transport and disposal.

you'd certainly want to be fully suited up with breathing apparatus..
