    1. Does anyone know when/where do you apply for the rpeats.

    2. When exactly will they usually be on?

3.What are the cost of doing them?

Also, is a pass 40 percent yeah? I got 37 in an exam and it says 5 credits?
Someone said you can carry 2 subjects into 2nd year, 1 from each semester, is this true?

Info on the repeat exams here
Any student who failed or deferred one or more subjects, from either semester, in the current Academic Year 2010/2011will be sent a blue Repeat Form along with their transcript in the week of the 20th of June, 2011. The form is used to register on a repeat/deferred subject from either, or both, semesters. The closing date for the return of these forms is the 7th of July, 2011.

Once you have returned the form to the Examinations Office, you will then be forwarded a giro for the repeat fee of €30. Any forms received after Thursday 7th of July 2011, will be subject to a late repeat fee of €100.

NOTE: If you have a deferral, you will not be required to pay the repeat fee, but you must return the repeat form to the Examinations Office by the 7th of July.

Along with the giro, you will be sent a pink form confirming the subject(s) you are registered on. Please check this form carefully to ensure you are registered on the correct subject(s).

If you have failed or deferred a CA/Project/Practical/Placement subject (ie not a Final Examination subject). You must contact your Department Office for details on how to resit this subject.

The Autumn 2011 Examination Session will take place from the 18th to the 31st of August, inclusive. The timetables for the Autumn Examination Session will be on the DkIT website in mid July.

All students are required to familiarise themselves with the Examination Regulations well in advance of the exams.

These regulations are available on this website as well as in your student handbook.

    Explanation of Results link here
An explanation of all the possible Academic Standings you may receive. When you receive your online results, these are provisional. Your official Transcript of Results will be posted to you.

In some cases, the credits column in the online results may be incorrect. If you have received between 35% and 39% in a subject and have gotten above 40% in all other subjects in that semester, then you may be entitled to Pass by Compensation.

However, if you have received between 35% and 39% in a subject and have received less than 35% in another subject in that semester, then you cannot pass by compensation. In this case you will have to repeat all subjects you received less than 40% in.

If you are in any doubt, please ensure you attend your Consultation or contact either your Department Office or the Examinations Office.

Your official Transcript of Results will detail exactly what subjects you must resit.
