Probs with Britannia Cooker(s)

This is a shot in the dark but anyway ...

I had a Britannia cooker installed at the end of April. However before it had even been hooked up I had a look in the oven. I saw flaky stuff in there and then noticed that the enamel paint around the cooker was flaking off! An engineer came to have a look (29 April) and said they'd replace the cooker. It was duly done the following week.

Last week I made a meringue base for a pavlova. When I took it out ( I left it there for about an hour after I turned off the cooker) it had a sprinkling of enamel shavings on it - it was as if I had sprinkled them on! I've not idea where they came from (no enamel paint in the roof of the cooker). However these would be dangerous if they were consumed as they are metal.

Anyone else experience this or know of anyone who has experienced this? I think these cookers should be recalled. I would welcome the feedback
