What the hell happened to the original Berty?

    I see for some unfathomable reason EPM has decided to change his name to 'Berty'. What happened to the original one who originally drove an A4 (I think) and then an S40?

    Who knows? In a forum where we can't see each other, names are even more important than in the real world. Personally, I feel that exchanging names is wrong.

    When Berty changed his name someone suggested that they would sponsor ATWR if someone changed to Berty. I did it as it raised money for charity.

    Actually I'd just like to insert an Admin response here.

    The Admin who made the name change did not realise that there was a Motors regular called 'Berty' who had recently undergone a name change when this change was being made. Had I seen the request it would have been my first comment.

    Nor was the Admin informed that this might cause confusion amongst users. The Admins weren't told that the original Berty didn't know about this either.

    At the very least, the original Berty should have been informed about the 'lulz' before this happened. Just because something is 'for charity' doesn't mean it's funny or acceptable, especially when it's not done properly. This has resulted in lots of reported Private messages and users contacting Admins directly out of confusion.

    That said, I appreciate it was a joke and there's no real harm done but please think about these things and the wider impact they may have in future.

    Otherwise I might just make bmw520d a Motors mod so he can show us more pictures of his Evo! See how ye like that :pac:
