HTC Wildfire S - Vodafone

    Hey guys,

Just got myself my first Android phone there on Saturday, after being a Nokia user all my life!

I worked fixing phones for a while back in the day and have played around and flashed a few of my friends Androids and also my girlfriends Optimus GT540 with the Cyanogenmod there recently.... kind of blindly I may add but got it in the end!

Couple of questions for any of you Android tech heads -

Is it "illegal" to Root my device? And will it void my warranty? Does the same go for Superuser app?

Reason im asking, is that my HTC has very little space left over from any updates to the Sense software (Vodafone bloatware seems to be another one I cant get rid of or move :/ ) and I dont even have the space to install normal apps, even though I am only literally using a couple of ones (Cabbage, Skype, Soundcloud, Goggles, Sky Map, Xpiano, IMDB, RTE, Task Killer) and any of them seem to transfer to SD no problem at all....

If I do root it, does it mean I can put the internal HTC and google apps over to the SD card? This would make my life a hell of a lot easier as I have an 8GB SD card!

Since it is so new though I am not too sure whether I want to root it just yet, I thought I would be doing that bout 9 months down the line when I get pissed off with the look/feel of my phone and if/when there is a semi-decent 3.0 ROM.... :P

Any advice or suggestions are welcomed!

    Thanks

Boo-urns to that, I thought something like Z4root which ive used on a few handsets would have worked, I would say its only a matter of time!

I have since removed any of the app updates and have free'ed up a little more space, I know have a whopping 31MB free and 119MB used on just the standard HTC stuff.... :(
